I guess this is possible if your dog's breed is a solid color and you don't groom the dog. Could never happen with our multi-colored, unusually groomed Cocker.

When I picked up Betsy from the groomer yesterday, there was a cocker being picked up that had the same 'do as Zelda. Maybe not so unusual after all.
